Play and Sensory Stimulation Therapy can help children and young people who are experiencing or have experienced:

  • Anxiety, stress, or phobias
  • Emotional, physical or sexual abuse
  • Has suffered trauma
  • Fostering or being in care
  • Physical and sensory disabilities
  • Attachment related difficulties
  • Loss or bereavement of any kind
  • Lack of self esteem
  • Negative body – and self-image

Adults may refer a Child who has experienced:

  • Separation or loss
  • Bereavement
  • Bullying
  • Social isolation
  • Fostering or being in care
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (A.D.H.D.)
  • Autistic Spectrum Disorder (A.S.D.)
  • Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (E.B.D.)
  • Has nightmares or has disturbed sleep
  • Living with a family member who has a substance dependency
  • Unwillingness to play
  • Is at risk of being / is excluded from school
