About me

I trained in Switzerland as a Psycho Motor Activity Therapist. I have many years experience working through body awareness and symbolism (Carl Jung) with both adults and children by way of therapeutic needs across all aspects of mental health and well-being.

My training includes a BA Dip Psycho Motor Function Therapy ASTP/EDK, with focus on Play Therapy and Body Work for children and young adults. In the UK, I have been trained as PTUK Certified Sandplay Practitioner for both, children and adults, as well as Clinical Supervisor PTUK. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and of Play Therapy UK (PTUK).

I currently doing my master’s degree in Inegrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and Counselling at Terapia, University of Middlesex in London.

My interest in working therapeutically grew through my first career as a primary school teacher, after which I retrained as a counsellor/therapist. For next few years, I followed this up with 3 years of full time studies in Basel in psychology, child psychology and special educational needs. This included an extensive therapeutic training to equip me with the necessary skills to support children and young adults with emotional and behavioural problems.

I relocated to London in 2006. For 3 years after my move to London, I worked as a primary school teacher. This gave me the opportunity to understand how the English social system worked before I began as a therapist/counsellor. I have been working in the Greater London area in private practice since 2010.
